Logos

I  liked the martini glass the most- but the only problem I had was figuring out how to round the base-- hmm?

This is my symbol- My logo- I'm very in tune with nature and my outside point of view in life- It's also curvy because I go with the flow and spread out towards where ever I may be  needed.

UPenn

I went to Upenn this week for a museum trip and I was able to look at many different archaeological found items during the early Minoan time period. I also checked out other Egyptian things because I am fascinated with Egyptian art and culture.

Turtle.

With this memoir I decided to frame my figure by doing the vertical type tool. After that I just created a new text block and altered the type size.

Helvetica and A Remix Manifesto

Helvetica

Helvetica is a type face that was created just like any other but it stands out to most of us on an everyday basis because it is the typeface that many of us recognize when we do basic things. Even in other countries it is used as a way of communication. Without Helvetica we would be using something else that most likely wouldn’t stand out to us as much. If the type changed a lot of us artists would notice but would the world notice?

A Remix Manifesto
This video is not only informative but it’s also kind of scary, it goes along the lines of “fighting the man”. Where it may seem to take different aspects of life and it justifies in a way that everyone does it, it’s still trying to help people realize that it is wrong. They also are pointing out that so many of us are criminals for downloading illegally and it cannot be stopped, we only can be punished for doing so. At one point it seemed okay to use the ideas of others to create newer better things, but now with everything that’s going on with trying to mitigate the illegal activity it only makes understanding the sharing of ideas a lot harder. It really affects us artists as a whole because how do we show understanding from the ideas of others without copying or imitating certain things that they embody in their work. I can only imagine what media in the world is going to look like in twenty years if it continues to follow this path.

six.words.

I have always been a turtle.

My mother has always said that I was a slower than the normal person just by the way that I take the world in. Just because I don't react in a fast pace like everyone else does what's so wrong with that. So right now I'm saying that it's okay to be a turtle and since I always have had slow reactions then the world will come at me slowly and I will be able to fulfill my life.

Week 1: Tyler Response

Being back at Tyler just in time for all of the things that I missed last year. Being able now to receive a basic introduction that I didn't recieve coming in the middle of the year is nice. Even though I'm not a freshman it's good to chance to re-iterate rules and common interesting points that Tyler has at our advantage.
